Socio- is a tabletop roleplaying system where relationships, tone, and intent shape the world just as much as dice do.
At its core, Socio- replaces the violence centrality of traditional RPGs with a system built around social stances—Sympathetic, Insightful, Commanding, Convincing, and Following. These stances govern how characters interact, influence, respond, and grow. They’re more than roleplay prompts—they’re mechanical levers that drive the story forward.
Combat exists, but it’s not the centerpiece. Conflict in Socio- is as likely to be political, emotional, or ideological as it is physical. Every scene is a chance to shape the world—not just survive it.
This game is designed for tables that want to ask better questions:
What does it take to change someone’s mind?
What happens when you listen instead of fight?
How does power shift through a room full of words?
The full rules are freely available for play, testing, and tinkering.
